Objectives
- To introduce teachers to the work being done internationally that privileges the voice of children and families in high quality early childhood programs
- To open discourse on how these programs may be sued to inspire local educators in changing their focus to a more child orientated perspective
- To engage teachers in a professional development opportunity which challenges them to reflect on their own practice and to deepen their understanding of young children’s abilities, skills and interests

Trainer’s Profile
Ms Deborah H. has 17 years of experience in the early childhood field as a preschool teacher, director, parent educator and consultant in both Australia and Singapore. Se holds a Master’s of Education in Early Childhood from the University of South Australia and is currently a PhD candidate at QUT researching a collaborative visual arts program for children, parents and teachers. She is currently the Vice President of Postkid and head of the International Centre Early Childhood in Singapore.
